      Waterfall

This comprehensive guide will cover everything you need to know about the Waterfall element in Mokkup.

      When to Use?

A Waterfall is a type of data visualization that displays a cumulative effect of sequential positive and negative values, showing how each impacts the total. Here’s when to use a Waterfall chart in a dashboard:

      • It is ideal for visualizing the cumulative effect of changes, where each value step (up or down) highlights its contribution to the total.
      • When analyzing changes between two points, such as revenue gains and losses, expenses, or profit margins over time.
      • When identifying specific components driving an overall increase or decrease, such as sales components impacting total revenue.
      • When breaking down data into individual factors, making it easier to see how each contributes to or detracts from a whole, such as departmental costs or project milestones.
