      When to Use?

      This dashboard element displays textual information or annotations that give context, instructions, explanations, or labels for other items. It helps users comprehend dashboard data and functions by providing more information.

      A Textbox is used when:

      • Explanatory Insights: Use textboxes to explain complex features, such as data visualizations, graphs, and charts, offering users a clear understanding of their purpose and significance.
      • Guided Instructions: Enable users to learn dashboard usage through instructional textboxes, providing step-by-step guidance for effective interaction.
      • Data Context Clarity: Employ textboxes to contextualize dashboard data, offering insights into sources and date ranges, and applying filters to enhance user comprehension.
      • Informed Annotations: Enhance data interpretation by annotating chart points with text boxes, assisting users in identifying trends, outliers, and critical data points.
      • Visual Aids: Utilize textboxes as legends or keys for color-coded elements or symbols, ensuring users grasp the meaning behind dashboard visual cues.

      How to Create?

      There are two ways to use Image in the Mokkup dashboard:

      Create New

      • When creating a project from scratch, simply click on the element in the sidebar to add it or drag and drop it onto the canvas.
      • Can resize it and edit it from the customize element menu.

      Use Template

      • When using a template with the Textbox element, select the element to resize and open the customize element menu. 

      How to Customize?

      1. Details

      Edit the basic details here:

      • Alignment: Adjust the title & text alignment to either left, center, or right of the element.
      • Title: Change the title of the textbox here by clicking on the “Edit Text” bar. Toggle off if not needed. 
      • Add description of the title from this section.
      • Font Weight: Change the font weight to normal, medium, or bold.

      2. Design Customizations

      • This will access the 'Design Customizations' menu when clicked. 
      • Use this to change your active theme and utilize customization options to adjust the canvas accordingly.
