How to Review Wireframes with Mokkup AI
The Review Wireframe feature provides AI-driven feedback on an existing dashboard layout. It analyzes your screen layout, visual hierarchy, and UX consistency to recommend design improvements based on industry best practices.
This feature is now accessible via the "Review Current Screen" button on the top panel and works only when your screen contains existing elements. If the screen is blank, the Review option will remain disabled.
Accessing Review Wireframe
- Open your project and locate the Review Wireframe button on the top panel.
- Click “Review Current Screen”.
- In the input box, enter a prompt such as:
- “Does this wireframe follow best practices for the healthcare industry?”
- “Review this wireframe for better layout balance.”
- The prompt box includes character limits and displays the count as you type.
- Click 'Review Wireframe' to trigger the AI review.
Note: This will be disabled if your screen is blank or has no elements.
How It Works?
Once you submit your prompt:
- Mokkup’s AI scans the active screen and reviews its layout structure, visual hierarchy, element grouping, and design balance.
- It generates actionable recommendations for UX and layout improvement.
- Suggestions appear in the AI panel, depending on the layout context.
- You can apply or ignore each recommendation individually.
Example suggestions include:
- “Add a summary KPI at the top.”
- “Group filters in one container.”
- “Use contrasting colors for better visual clarity.”
Note: If no elements are detected on the screen, a guide message appears prompting you to create a layout first.
Coin Usage
- 2 Coins = 1 Wireframe Review.
- Free plan users get 25 Coins, shared across every Coin-based feature (AI Wireframing, AI Review, Convo AI, and BI Export)
- Pro users get 350 Coins/year; Teams users get 350 Coins per license/year, pooled into a shared team wallet. Enterprise users get unlimited Coins with an active license.
- You can buy additional Coins directly at any time. There's no separate "credits" currency to convert into Coins anymore; Coins are purchased directly as Coin bundles.
- Once Coins are assigned to your account, they cannot be transferred or refunded.
- Coins are only consumed for valid prompts. Failed system actions do not deduct Coins.
Note: If you've exhausted your Coins, the "Review my wireframe" button will be disabled until more Coins are available.
Output and Review Results
- After processing, the AI generates a list of suggestions displayed under the “Reviews” section.
- Clicking the “View Suggestions” button redirects you to a detailed view in a new tab.
- Each suggestion is designed to enhance the readability, usability, and visual clarity of your dashboard.
- You can apply feedback selectively, enabling faster iteration of dashboard designs.
Note: AI Review does not modify or lock your screen layout; it only provides guidance and suggestions.
